I me Irish eyes are smiling. I belong to A irish fire company volunteer since 18 yrs old since you can become a fireman. I was there at the hosey engine company. And as Dan Potter I had a uncle Jack .lil did he ever tell me he was a fireman there yrs ago, after he passed away my cuzin jon his son asked me if I wanted his parade uniform I said no keep it it was your dad's.well he move to another town and would come sign the pools I be hanging out with Capt and all on the Kelly green engine company truck room and learning and well he said to me always so you want to be a fireman ? I always wondered why he said that to me after I found out and well I became outside etc and well the nut running in . I became a fireman clover hose co. On a 1996 hann 750 and 94 pierce 1500 gal pumer . I was in bad places inside but to guys and ppl like Dan , and 343 ffs they answered the call as I did . Everytime I rode on the engine to a fire ,I never knew if I was coming back I always prayed .yes the halagon tool is the best. Besides a ax with the pick or a axe well in 91 church fire the onion was falling and well I was between the house and church where the huge onion fell tg ppl yelled and I dropped the hose and ran my ass off closes I ever got to 9/11 but like Dan we are here to tell our story's and well there's a God , well retired now but so you want to be a fireman ? Firefighter? Ty brothers and well proud to be a retired old man Fireman cause I listened to experience like Joe Campbell out captain and my partner Randy k .and our team .plus hit as many schools as I could you can't do anything without the training etc . TC brothers and sisters now be safe and great stuff dan and Irish ff .

Playing music on top of a speaker telling his story is a bad practice. It takes away from the speaker. I don't know why content creators think this makes for a good video. It distracts the viewer and dilutes the interview.

What an amazing story! I remember seeing that picture and always wondering what his story was. I'm so glad his wife made it out of the towers! That day was horrible. I was on the other side of the country just an 18 yr old just starting out at my first job. That day changed our country. It's sad to see that 20 yrs later we forgot the hard lessons learned on 911. Seeing what's happening in our country now and wondering if this will happen again or if the next time it will be worse. Hearing these stories from survivors just brings it home again.

This is a cool interview! I did think as I was listening, “whoa, that’s a thick Irish accent!” and then you said, “….here in Ireland….”. That explained that! 😂 Greetings from Toronto. Just left a casualty in James St. fifteen minutes ago. Two hundred yards away from the hospital. I've been over twenty minutes with a bleeding teenager in the middle of the road waiting for the ambulance, nothing . Then a police car arrived and still waiting for the calvery. We done the job required as first responders while waiting, we'll done people that young man is going home today alive.
